Description

Two Doidy Cups, so there's always a clean one ready: one for home, one for nursery or the grandparents'. Pick any two of 11 bright, bold colours, or the same one twice. The slanted rim lets your baby see the drink coming, which makes learning to drink from an open cup easy, from 3 months with your help.

Recommended by speech and language therapists, each cup holds 200ml and has two handles and no spout, valve or lid, so there's nothing to take apart. Both are dishwasher (top shelf) and microwave safe, and still manufactured in the UK. A practical gift for new parents, too.

Why it works

Made for little mouths

  • Learning to drink

    Open cup, made easy

NHS guidance suggests offering an open or free-flow cup from around 6 months. The slanted Doidy Cup makes it intuitive from 3 months, with your help at first. Spills are part of learning.

    Recommended by speech therapists

  • One clever angle

    They can see what's coming

The tilted rim brings the drink to your baby's lips without tipping the cup far back, so they can see what's coming. They learn how much to tilt, sip and stop. Two handles suit small hands.

    No spout, no valve

  • Two is easier

    One in use, one ready

Cups end up in the dishwasher, the changing bag or at the grandparents'. With two, there's always a clean one to hand. Pick any two of 11 colours, or the same one twice.

    2 x 200ml cups

  • Simple by design

    One piece, nothing to lose

No spout, valve, lid or hidden parts to scrub. Just one piece of BPA-free polypropylene, still manufactured in the UK.

    EN 14350:2020+A1:2023

See it in action

  2. Let them sip Tilt gently and let your baby sip at their own pace. Guide the cup for them at first.
  3. Hand over the handles As they grow, let them hold both handles and drink on their own. Spills are part of learning.

Universally great

Great for teaching our baby to use an open cup. Another family member who is in wheelchair with fixed headrest also uses these. Great for so many situations

Striking Purple, Doidy Cups - easy to use and keep clean

I already have a few Doidy cups in a green and turquoise colour and found them very useful for weaning. This purple coloured set is very striking. Purple is the toddler's current favourite colour so these have proved popular. The handles make the cups really easy for a very young child to hold and manipulate and the slanted design makes spillages less likely. The base of the cups is also stable. The cups are easy to wash or sterilize. Simple and easy to use and keep clean. Great!

Brilliant design. Look very nice.

My daughter loves drinking from these. If I ask if she wants to use one she gets excited as she can otherwise only use bottles. Eventually it always ends in pouring and splashing but for a while she drinks more water than any other method and she can do it herself easily at 18 months. She's been using a different cup from this same brand for much longer, though. I'm not sure when she started but she could use them much earlier than she could any other cup.

They're just so easy to see what's going on because of the slanted design. They're also better to give water from as a parent while teaching, as you can see the water touching her lips rather than guessing.

They're easy to clean, look lovely in this colour, and are the perfect size for her hands to hold. Super high quality and a decent price for 2. I like that the cup itself is recyclable but the pouch isn't marked as such.

Well made

Well made slanting cups with easy to hold handles.
If over filled, they are very easy to spill everywhere.
Baby seems to like them and find them ok to use.
Good functionality and easy to clean.

Non spillage cups

I like that your baby is not able to spill it. I also like the fact the cups are brightly coloured which is more appealing for babies. I have been told that this cup is better for their teeth than a beaker and is good for their hand eye co-ordination. Hopefully in time once my baby is a bit older she will start holding the cup by herself.

Great for dinner time

Love these. Our 8 month old has been using them since he started weaning. He never took a bottle so we’ve used these for a while. Great product.

Genius cups

Way better than normal or sipper cups for weaning. You can see how much water is going in mouth and can assist baby with the flow. Baby is already getting better at using it within a couple weeks.

Effective for small babies

I bought these cups for my 6mth old son. The slanted top means he can see the water coming towards him and he knows when to drink. A great way to teach you g babies how to drink from an open top cup - which is much better for mouth and tooth development than sippy cups.

Brilliant for open cup training

Has been really useful in helping our toddler to learn to drink from an open cup. Very few spills now he can see the water level when he tips it.

Excellent for older babies and toddlers

A really good cup to help with the transition from bottle and feeder cups. It's easy for my 14 month old grandson to use, easy to hold and he's not thrown the contents over himself yet! I bought a couple and gave one to his mum as well

Questions about this product

Which Doidy set should I choose?

Choose this Pack of 2 for a spare cup, or one for nursery or the grandparents'. The Cup and Mini Cup Set adds the 50ml Mini Cup, for starting even earlier or for milk feeds. The Cup & Bowl Gift Set adds a suction bowl for starting solids. The Doidy Gift Set has all three.

What's in the pack?

Two Doidy Cups, each 200ml, in any two of the 11 colours, or two the same. The cups are identical in size, shape and material. It comes without gift packaging.

From what age can my baby use the Doidy Cup?

From 3 months, with you holding the cup to their lips. NHS guidance suggests offering an open or free-flow cup from around 6 months, and many babies start then. Independence comes gradually as they learn to grip the handles, and every baby gets there at their own pace.

My baby keeps spilling. Is that normal?

Completely normal. Spills mean your baby is practising how far to tilt, when to sip and when to stop. The slant means the cup doesn't need tipping far back, which helps. Keep amounts small while they learn.

Can it go in the dishwasher and microwave?

Yes. It's dishwasher-safe on the top shelf and microwave-safe. It's made from BPA-free, food-grade polypropylene and meets EN 14350:2020+A1:2023. Always check the temperature of anything you've warmed before giving it to your baby.
