Bickiepegs: Natural Teething Biscuits for Babies | Safe and Effective Chew Aid
PURPOSE
Specially designed and shaped, Bickiepegs Resistive teething biscuits assist infants (and parents) through the teething process by addressing four key developmental needs:
- Practising Chewing Skills/Mastication: The hardness and resistive nature of Bickiepegs provide the appropriate surface for chewing exercises that engage orofacial muscles. This is vital to the development of a baby’s jaw bones, muscles, and teeth, which are essential for developing chewing skills and even speech.
- Aiding Overall Oral and Jaw Development: The shape of the biscuit allows the baby to "bite" at both the front (incisors and canines) and back of the mouth to reach the molars, promoting balanced development of the entire oral cavity.
- Transitioning to Solids: Chewing on Bickiepegs helps infants transition from liquids to solid foods by building the necessary oral motor skills for consuming a broader range of textures and consistencies, while providing an early exposure to harder foods.
- Soothing Teething Pain: The hardness of Bickiepegs is also effective in soothing the discomfort associated with teething, providing the firm pressure that can relieve gum soreness. Some professionals believe that chewing on the biscuits before teething can help teeth grow straighter and with better spacing.
SUITABILITY –
The ingredients used make Bickiepegs suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans. The biscuits are not designed to be consumed but it is safe to do so. The pack states ‘from 6 months of age’, the age at which most infants start the teething process, but this may vary. This product contains gluten in similar proportions to wholemeal bread.
INGREDIENTS:
Only the finest quality Wheat Flour, Wheatgerm and Water go into Bickiepegs. NO added sugar or salt and NO additives, colourings, GM ingredients or Dairy products are used in the manufacture. Bickiepegs are still hand-made and crafted in a dedicated bakery in Scotland.
